Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions impact more people worldwide than issues related to the circulatory or respiratory systems. Even so, diagnostic procedures for these conditions often still lean on outdated methods, like the manual reading of X-rays and MRI scans. These approaches not only consume a lot of time but also lack uniformity and depend largely on the skill level of the medical professional involved. While there is a growing variety of specialized solutions for diagnosing MSK conditions, a comprehensive answer for a range of diagnostic needs has been missing. Now, a new partnership aims to advance the use of Artificial-Intelligence (AI) supported disease diagnostics for MSK, orthopedic, and trauma use-cases in the DACH region.

ImageBiopsy Lab (Vienna, Austria) and Radiobotics (Copenhagen, Denmark) have entered into a collaboration to combine their different areas of expertise into one all-encompassing solution for MSK image analysis, which will include measuring, scoring, and detecting fractures. Both companies are known for their groundbreaking work in applying deep learning technology to the analysis of MSK imaging. Over the years, both the companies have grown to specialize in specific areas: ImageBiopsy Lab is renowned for its wide-ranging suite of automated measuring solutions, while Radiobotics is a leader in fracture detection. Their collaboration aims to meet the entire array of needs that radiologists and orthopedic specialists may have.

"Before even considering the use of AI, it's crucial to grasp physicians' diagnostic workflow and needs. For this purpose we've closely collaborated with leading MSK radiologists, orthopaedics, and traumatologists over the past years. We're committed to revolutionizing the entire MSK diagnostic value chain for practitioners, patients, and healthcare systems,” said Dr. Richard Ljuhar, CEO and Co-Founder of ImageBiopsy Lab. “We see Radiobotics as the logical partner to offer best in class solutions for MSK conditions diagnostics, from measurements and scoring to fracture detection. Our collaboration marks the next AI-powered workflow integration phase.”

"As MSK AI solutions gain traction in clinical workflows, providing clinics with integrated and comprehensive options becomes vital. We're thrilled to collaborate with ImageBiopsy Lab to facilitate access to our market-leading solutions,” added Mads Jarner, CEO and Co-founder of Radiobotics. “Leveraging ImageBiopsy Lab's expertise and network in German-speaking regions, we're excited to introduce our RBfracture fracture detection solution in this area initially, with potential expansion to other regions.”
